Last night i went to take a nap and fell asleep before 9pm. I woke up at about 245 this morning so i figured i would do some homework. With my luck i got locked out while waiting for the shower and felt horrible for waking up an R.A to let me in my room for the like 30th time this past month. Anyways, i figured i needed a homework break and i was loading some pictures on my computer and thought i would try a tutorial that was shown to me. I did a super quick job but i am excited to learn to edit like this more so. Heres dave at poker night! I wish i had time to do summerside right now!

Yesterday I hung out with those pretty boys from summerside that we all love again and had the time of my life. I was abnormally exhausted all day but had a great time. They played a few shows with hedley over the last week and these shots are from yesterday in hamilton. If you have a chance check them out on friday at the absinthe as one of cain and abels last show(s?) too, i know ill be there;). They are also going to be heading on tour with social code in around canada so if you dont see them before then make sure to check that out! I am pretty sure they are releasing their EP in like a month but if it isnt that soon dont blame me. Ive heard it all and i can guarantee it will blow your mind. I want to say thanks to brandon, kev, jay and grant for an amazing time as well as, mike, adam and austin. Below are a few pictures of my cat. My strap was loose and it got her excited. Cincinnati 2008

Going to Cincinnati the last couple years has been a life changing experience. This year there wasnt anything Lauryn and I wanted to do then go back and visit our friends there. Unfortunately i didnt really take that many pictures but here are a few recreational ones. I also have a corny 2 minute video coming, i only edited the thing for 15 minutes yet, but dont have much more i can do to it because of the lack of video and photos that i have of the trip, i just really wanted soemthing to edit! Hopefully it will be the start to many videos popping up on this blog. Comments are welcome on not only this post but any previous ones!

Actually yeah i do! Me and wes went out for a quick promo sess tonight and didnt really find much do work with but ended up in the eatons centre. Hopefully I will have a few keepers to show you from the set but they will most likely appear for the first time on my website which i am hoping to launch over the christmas break. I am working on it for school but am going to perfect it to the best of my not so talented web designing ability and hopefully have it up with a bunch of new shots, some videos and whatever else you need to know about me!

But heres finally another. I have been really sick the last couple weeks and i don't seem to be getting better. Regardless, i went out for a awesome time with the boys in summerside again, then just hungout and went to their show with Faber Drive afterward, where also my brothers band happened to be playing (guilty .. www.myspace.com/guilty). Steve from www.hiddencitydesign.com made a wicked template but unfortunately since school started ive been pinching the bills and havent had enough to let him get going on it so as soon as I can I will be doing that. Lifestory:Monologue - Distance Between Stars - The Junction

The best surprise I have ever had was Lifestory:monologue popping up on this bill. These guys have to be one of my most listened to bands lately, i cannot get enough of them. If you are a fan of mewithoutYou check these guys out. Similar vocals but key differences in instrumental. These guys put on the best set i have seen in ages and i urge you to check them out. Distance Between Stars was awesome to finally see for the first time. They put on a great show and it was good to see those lost boys from the pulse (r.i.p) back on stage! Finally the junction! I cannot remember the last time i saw these but it was wonderful just as it always has been. They finished off the show with a couple keepers from the olden days which was possibly my favourite part of the night.

It really isnt time for anything but a minor update in my life but oh well! This week has been pretty busy but good. School is going well, even though it has been super busy. I was told Sony Vegas was an editing software used a bit in first semester at Ryerson so I figured i might as well download it and see how it goes. At first i was pretty excited about it from reading up on it and some features. I am not sure i am super excited about it. There are a few things i like a lot better then Premiere but a bunch of things that need much getting used to. Matt tells me that in the end of all this i will be the Avid King and take over the world so lets see how that goes when i get there. Anyways this video was done in like 15 minutes just for fun, I didn't have anything to edit that i felt like doing and i had a whole bunch of random videos on my computer from the last year. I picked out a couple keepers, clustered them together for a pretty weak intro video that i will probably never use. This video is more for friends who understand half the stuff thats in it. It has some clips of the rape house, skateboarding at easter, a great music video shoot, the cottage, Cincinnati, bison's and some other stuff. All in all i had a great year and these are basically bits and pieces of it. The video isn't much other then a pan here or there and some clips cut clustered and cross faded but it may interest some of you who know this stuff for a good laugh.

Exactly 1 month since last post

I have been super slackin in the update department but i dont have much to show at this point. For anyone who cares this is what is up in my life. First off, i got into Ryerson University for radio and television broadcasting which i am super excited about. To be honest i wasn't really expecting to get in so this semester i let my guard down on my school work a little bit so the next 6 weeks will be filled with all that fun stuff trying to yank my grades up as much as i can to make sure i keep my acceptance/hopefully be eligible for scholarships and such. As for the work department, i am starting a video for my sisters wedding at the beginning of June, which will probably be the most boring thing in my life to edit but thats ok! If anyone has any videos or such they want done in the summer let me know exactly your needs as soon as possible so i can plan out my summer a little bit. I have a couple skate sessions and some other random videos lined up which i am much more excited about. I hope to have much more updates in the future but im not sure if there will be for the next few weeks. After graduation there will be plenty;)

Farewell to freeway has to be one of my favorite bands which i dont think i have seen in a couple years since the times of AFB (r.i.p). Checked them out at the music centre tonight and loved every minute of it. I wanted a new post so here are the first two out of the batch, didnt bother shopping them but there may be some edits up later. Also below them is a picture of pauls mullet the the hair dresser cut him, he couldnt bare going into public with it and everything was closed for good friday so he got my mom to trim his mullet off for him. Apparently noone told him that mullets are in, he just didnt have the swoosh and the straightener.

Also, Misery Signals and Human Abstract last night had to be one of the funnest nights ive had in the longest time. First try a but here is one of Misery Signals, it is really grainy so dont look at it big haha:( There is one of Jamie too, these havent been edited but i dont think i will bother until i take some better photos.

Also, this is a rough draft with alot of filler needed and some off time stuff but it took me so long to do this because of the way they played it and all that so here is a new video i did for body break to the recording of "get dead". Needs some work but you can get the point.

First Post

This is my first post on this baby so maybe ill throw some random stuff on. I am currently working on a live video for body break for their show at the music center last week, for the second time. The first time i tried it out with them was at their comeback show in which was also my first attempt at a live set so heres what came out of it. I just used hand held dv cameras for this borrowed from school as well as the arms of Steve Lensink, John vanHoeve and Dave Demarco.

This video was not the final of that set, but i dont think i care much to post anymore then that. Hopefully the newer one will come out better.
I wanted to get into photography a bit to help further my skills that quickly relate to video. I got a D70 recently and I haven't had much time to shoot anything just kind of experimenting but i went over to wes' place last weekend and took a few there.
